unzippinghead I have a dream… Ik heb een droom ...

Back in the day on my S60 Nokia 3650 & N-gage (Yeah I admit to having one) I had a really cool program that I wish was available for BlackBerry. Terug in de dag op mijn S60 Nokia 3650 & N-Gage (Ja, ik geef toe dat een) Ik had een echt cool programma dat ik wil is beschikbaar voor BlackBerry. It would constantly monitor your location based on the cellphone tower you were connected to and allow you to set certain rules based on which tower you were connected to or just disconnected from. Het zou voortdurend toezicht houden op uw locatie op basis van de toren je mobiel waren aangesloten op en u in staat om bepaalde regels op basis waarvan je toren waren aangesloten op of gewoon uit losgekoppeld.

For example: Bijvoorbeeld

  • You could set it to send your wife a text or email when you left work or were almost home. U zou het aan je vrouw stuur je een tekst-of e-mail wanneer u linksaf werk of waren bijna thuis.
  • You could make it automatically set your profile to vibrate when you get to work and turn it back to normal when you leave. Je zou kunnen maken automatisch uw profiel op trillen wanneer u aan de slag en zet hem terug naar normaal wanneer u vertrekt.
  • You could make it automatically set your alarm clock when you are home. Je zou kunnen maken automatisch uw wekker wanneer u thuis bent.
  • You could set it to turn off or on Bluetooth or WiFi when you are home to save battery life. U zou het uit te schakelen of Bluetooth of WiFi wanneer u thuis bent om de batterij te sparen.
  • Set a custom alert to remind you to go shopping when you are near the store. Stel een aangepaste waarschuwing om je te herinneren om te gaan winkelen als je in de buurt van de winkel.
  • You could set an alert to remember your keys, lock up, or other information before you leave the house. U zou een waarschuwing op uw sleutels vergeten, opsluiten, of andere informatie voordat u de woning verlaten.
  • It could land a plane on the moon while you are waiting in traffic (kidding) Het zou het land een vliegtuig op de maan terwijl u wacht in het verkeer (grapje)

As you can see this could have a ton of cool uses. Zoals je kunt zien kan dit een ton coole toepassingen hebben. Implementing this based on Cell Tower information is the best but GPS could also work. De uitvoering van deze op basis van Cell Tower informatie is de beste GPS, maar kan ook werken. The problem is that GPS eats extra battery life, takes a few seconds to get a location, and does not work indoors. Het probleem is dat GPS eet extra levensduur van de batterij, duurt een paar seconden om een locatie te krijgen, en werkt niet binnenshuis.

So I have to pose this question to all BlackBerry developers out there… Is my dream possible? Dus ik heb deze vraag vormen voor alle BlackBerry-ontwikkelaars die er zijn ... Is mijn droom mogelijk?

    So I admit to sometimes carrying an S60 device on the weekends when i'm doing something that might put my 'berry at risk. Dus ik geef toe soms de boekwaarde van een S60-toestel in het weekend als ik iets zou kunnen brengen mijn 'bes in gevaar.

    I have thought about creating an app just like this. Ik heb nagedacht over het creëren van een app net als dit. I just don't know how to program for a blackberry – lol Ik weet niet hoe programma voor een BlackBerry - lol

    I'm sure I could figure it out though. Ik weet zeker dat ik het kon achterhalen wel. Maybe I will give it a shot (.NET programmer here). Misschien zal ik het een schot (. NET programmeur hier).

    Yeah I know it is just sad that I had this application years ago with my S60 symbian device… Ja ik weet het is gewoon triest dat ik deze applicatie jaar geleden met mijn Symbian S60 toestel ...

    Cell profiler for windows mobile phone. Cel profiler voor Windows Mobile telefoon. I looked for this software for the blackberry too. Ik keek ook voor deze software voor de BlackBerry. Long time now. Lange tijd.

    It is definitely possible and I am tinkering with that capability on and off for some time. Het is zeker mogelijk en ik ben knutselen met die mogelijkheid in-en uitschakelen voor bepaalde tijd. Not enough hours in a day. Niet genoeg uren in een dag. :-(

    I use to have this program. Ik gebruik dit programma te hebben. I wish I could have something like it on the BlackBerry. Ik wou dat ik iets dergelijks hebben op de BlackBerry.
