unzippinghead I have a dream… J'ai fait un rêve ...

Back in the day on my S60 Nokia 3650 & N-gage (Yeah I admit to having one) I had a really cool program that I wish was available for BlackBerry. De retour dans la journée sur mon Nokia S60 3650 & N-Gage (Ouais J'avoue avoir un) j'ai eu un programme très cool que je désire est disponible pour BlackBerry. It would constantly monitor your location based on the cellphone tower you were connected to and allow you to set certain rules based on which tower you were connected to or just disconnected from. Il serait surveiller en permanence votre position basée sur le tour de téléphonie cellulaire vous étiez connecté et vous permettent de définir certaines règles fondées sur la tour qui vous étiez connecté ou simplement déconnecté.

For example: Par exemple:

  • You could set it to send your wife a text or email when you left work or were almost home. Vous pouvez définir pour envoyer votre femme, un texte ou e-mail lorsque vous avez quitté le travail ou étaient près de la maison.
  • You could make it automatically set your profile to vibrate when you get to work and turn it back to normal when you leave. Vous pourriez lui faire automatiquement votre profil pour qu'il vibre lorsque vous arrivez au travail et le rallumer à la normale lorsque vous quittez.
  • You could make it automatically set your alarm clock when you are home. Vous pourriez lui faire automatiquement l'horloge de votre alarme quand vous êtes chez vous.
  • You could set it to turn off or on Bluetooth or WiFi when you are home to save battery life. Vous pourriez fixer à activer ou de désactiver Bluetooth ou Wi-Fi lorsque vous êtes chez vous pour sauver la vie de la batterie.

As you can see this could have a ton of cool uses. Comme vous pouvez voir ce qui pourrait avoir une tonne d'utilisations cool. Implementing this based on Cell Tower information is the best but GPS could also work. L'application de cette cellule basée sur l'information Tower est le meilleur, mais le GPS pouvait aussi fonctionner. The problem is that GPS eats extra battery life, takes a few seconds to get a location, and does not work indoors.     So I admit to sometimes carrying an S60 device on the weekends when i'm doing something that might put my 'berry at risk. Donc, je l'avoue à la réalisation parfois un appareil S60 le week-end, quand je fais quelque chose qui pourrait mettre mon 'Berry à risque.

    I have thought about creating an app just like this. J'ai pensé à créer un soft comme ça. I just don't know how to program for a blackberry – lol Je ne sais pas comment programmer pour un BlackBerry - lol

    I'm sure I could figure it out though. Je suis sûr que je pouvais le comprendre cependant. Maybe I will give it a shot (.NET programmer here). Peut-être que je vais lui donner un coup de feu (. Programmeur NET ici).

    Yeah I know it is just sad that I had this application years ago with my S60 symbian device… Ouais je sais qu'il est juste triste que j'ai eu depuis des années cette application avec mon appareil Symbian S60 ...

    Cell profiler for windows mobile phone. Cell Profiler pour Windows mobile. I looked for this software for the blackberry too. J'ai regardé pour ce logiciel pour le BlackBerry aussi. Long time now. Long temps maintenant.

    It is definitely possible and I am tinkering with that capability on and off for some time. Il est certainement possible et je suis bricoler avec cette capacité sous et hors tension pendant un certain temps. Not enough hours in a day. Pas assez d'heures dans une journée. :-(
