Boe let me know about a thread on CrackBerry forums with a link to OS 4.5.0.131 for the 8330 CDMA Curve. This is not a beta but rather a pre-release according to the poster CodyBB so take care when installing it. According to Boe this update fixes the speaker blast that has been plaguing OS 4.5 devices.

I’ve installed it on my VZW Curve 8330 this morning. So far so good. Hope it removes that call pick up volume blast bug as prev. replies have stated.

SO, I just updated to .119, and I had to delete my vendor.xml file. Being that I have a Sprint Curve, do I have to copy the vendor file back before applying this update, or can I just do it?

josh your the first person to say you have the speaker blast i personally called my phone over 2 dozen times and never had a problem and we have been testing this for almost 3 days now without any issues, did you do a clean load or did you just install over the top of your previous build??

I installed over top of a previous install. Perhaps I should do the clean load. I can’t wait to end this blast! Thanks!

I downloaded it and I really can’t tell a difference… so far no speaker blast but it’s still too early to tell. I had no trouble downloading it- went very well on my Sprint 8330.

4.5.0.131 is awesome! sound blast is gone, memory cleaner runs faster, havent noticed any ram loss as of late, and is SOO reassuring that its an ACTUAL SPRINT os 4.5 , rather than the last 4 ive had. Thanx for the info berryreview!!

You can’t us any OS that is not designed for your model. I personally am really happy with the current .124 for the 8320.

I have been running this os since 1/28 when it came out and the only problem I found is that after the screen goes dark it has a noticeable delay when re activating. For that reason I like 4.5.0.119 better but that is the only thing I have found.
