BBTweet Beta v.02 – The FREE & Quick Twitter Status Updater & Message Delivery
Jason let me know about a great project he is working on that essentially delivers & lets you reply to Twitter messages just like text messages but without the bill since it uses data. It regularly polls your twitter account to find new messages and puts them into your messages folder. You can then reply to them easily. In short it kind of works like Twitter does with SMS but without having to pay your carrier for SMS. 
Simple as that. It is nowhere near as feature full as SocialScope but it does a simple thing very well. I have not had all that much time to play with it but for the little time I have used it I did not run into any issues. Their future plans look pretty cool too!
