More and more applications are utilizing the notification area, because the new BB OS allows for the use of that. I'm sure Twitter, Viigo, and many other apps will start to use it. This is why the Executive Theme Series provides the full screen width for the icons! Most other Themes does that, and I'm sure others will follow.
