SomaFM – 14 Channels Of Streaming Underground/Alternative Radio
January 7th, 2009 by Ronen Halevy
If you have the latest OS 4.5+ you can take advantage of this streaming radio service offered by SomaFM. Rafa1 let me know that they have 3GPP compatible streams of all 14 of their commercial free underground/alternative radio stations. I had a chance to listen to it myself and was quite pleased with the content and quality even though you wont find large bands on SomaFM.
One of the three links below should work in showing you the mobile streams:

The aac tracks worked for me on my 8830 4.5.0.101. The wmf files did not. http://somafm.com/wma.xhtml
I also suggest Moodio.fm which I have been using for what feels like forever and freed me from having to carry by BB and an FM-MP3 player with me, plus net radio means doesn’t matter where I am.
I tried it on my 8310 and worked fine. When I tried to close out of the player my 8310 went into reboot. This might have been a fluke but I thought it was worth mentioning.
I listen to GrooveSalad in my car all the time. works flawlessly and sounds great!
