TwitApps Replies – Get You Twitter Messages By Email Free
I know there are a few Twitter fans out there who don’t see the need for a client on their BlackBerry. I just found this cool solution on TechCrunch that uses the TwitApps service to send you an email with your twits. The best part is that you do not have to give them your username and password to use the service. This should be pretty useful since TwitterBerry seems to be pretty popular according to recent stats.
All you need to do according to the instructions is:
- Follow @ta_replies.
- Our bot will follow you back.
- When you get the follow notification send a direct message containing just the email address to which you want the tweets to be sent.
- Add twitapps@googlemail.com to your address book or safe senders list to ensure you get the emails.
- Sit back and relax.
We continuously monitor the public feed on Twitter and keep track of any tweets that mention you. We then stick them in an email roughly once an hour, or more often if you get a lot of replies (25). An option to change this frequency is coming soon.
Once you’re registered you can control our bot using direct messages to @ta_replies. Send stop to stop getting emails and start to start getting them again. We really tried to make it hard to use but it just wasn’t gonna happen!
If you have any questions or comments please talk to @ta_replies or alternatively you can email us.
