UPDATE: Fixed download link
Nikolaus let me know that Qik has updated their Alpha app from 0.0.3 to 0.0.4. In case you don’t remember when we mentioned it, Qik is a free app that lets you stream live video from your BlackBerry to their site. You can then easily transfer it to YouTube from their site.
Sadly there is no change log and I have not noticed any drastic changes myself.
So I am throwing it out there. Anybody notice anything new in this latest version? While you are at it did you find some cool use for it that you would like to share?

This update (as far as they have said to others) is supposedly addressing a bug/issue with Verizon based curves (possibly other carriers also) where large portions of “qiks” are not actually uploaded and stall in a state of partial completion.

.4 looks really good. Step in the right direction. even gives you a video preview. I’ll have to test and see how long the delay is with this version.

Ronen, what have you done to me? I am trying desperately to get back to work, now that I am qiking my life. There has got to be a use for this, and I will find it.
is that a word?
only thing that happens it it keeps rebooting my blackberry if i exit and restart the BB, something to do with the permissions changing. weird.

i still can’t get this going on my vzw 8330 running 4.5. it seems to go into the same app i use for recording videos. then i see the red light flashing, and i see the data arrows going, but nothing ever seems to get uploaded to qik. yes, i have an SD card and yes there’s plenty of room on it. the qik app has the appropriate permissions; so what am i doing wrong? anyone? bueller?
