Wikipedia Releases Mobile Site

While busy with my morning feed reading, I picked up via Lifehacker that Wikipedia has finally released a Mobile version of their site. Now I am not entirely sure of the actual release of this mobile version of the site but it is certainly news to me. Mobile Wikipedia currently supports 14 Languages and there is even a Spoken Wikipedia option which is currently disabled, will have to keep an eye on that.

I can only hope that the wikipedia search from the BlackBerry Browser will now go to this mobile version, and that we can get a good shortcut icon for our home screens.

I disagree, Nikolaus. The “mobile” Wikipedia isn’t quite cut for the Blackberry. It breaks each article in several pages, which I find very annoying. The Blackberry browser works better with the regular site.
