Josep let me know about a slick new application called bluCTRL. It lets you control the mouse and keyboard of your computer over Bluetooth. Its in Beta right now so there is no price and is free to download. No idea if it will stay that way but I doubt it.
Check it out at www.bluctrl.com and let me know what you think!
From the description:
bluCTRL, is an application that turns your BlackBerry into a full wireless Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. With bluCTRL, you can now conduct powerpoint presentations, surf the web, and control your media center from your BlackBerry. This “in your pocket” convenience works with any Bluetooth enabled laptop or PC, giving you the ability to control multiple machines from a single device.
- Simple - To start using bluCTRL simply pair your BlackBerry with a PC using the step by step wizard.
- Easy - Controlling your PC is now as easy as using your BlackBerry trackball and keyboard.
- Convenient - Now you can control all your PCs using one central input device, your BlackBerry.

I bought a usb-bluetooth dongle for my Laptop once which I could NEVER pair with my BB, because as far as I was told not all Bluetooth is made equal and it’s a frick’n crap shoot getting Bluetooth to work. Could not even get my BB to pair with my wife’s BB, and they are both 8320s. I’d love to try this app however if I could get BlueTooth pairing to work.

I’ve already installed it and it’s rather slick, I can’t see myself using it often, it would mostly come in handy when doing a power point presentation.

I tried. It pairs just fine with my computer. I get a message about a server not connecting. Maybe a vista issue?

Works well with my vzw 8330 and vista. Pretty responsive and easy to use.
I’m sure I’ll find other uses too.
Wasn’t going to download it until I figured I could control Windows Media Center when my laptop is connected to the TV without getting up from the couch
