The guys behind the TELUS Storm party that happened last night shot me some pictures that I thought I would share. Looks like they had some fun compared to the more sedate AT&T launch parties. Keeping in RIM tradition they had a bunch of celebs there and unlike the stingy Verizon reps they ended up giving devices to everybody who attended. Let us know if you picked one up.

Could you confirm this sentence in your text : “they ended up giving devices to everybody who attended” cause I attended the Montreal Launch last Thursday and can guarantee you that they were not giving one storm to every participant….

These were the exact words I was told by the Telus rep…
“…and we ended up giving devices out to everyone there”
Take that for what its worth. I guess it can be interpreted a few ways. I took the simplest.

yia it’s true they did give devices to everyone there, to try them
they certainly took them back right after hehe .
They also gave me a blackberry storm…… usb key that is . it’s shape like a storm, flat like a credit card and a little thing swivel, let’s u plug it in the usb port of a computer 1gig of space. very cute but not as fun as an actual storm.

we got some swag but no storm hehe , there was a few devices to play with but they took them all back
