I went to Rogers.com yesterday an under Devices >> Blackberry, the 8900 was not there. Maybe it is now. I was also STUNNED by the $599 price. Even the $179 with 3 (THREE) year contract IF you pay $50+ (could be even higher minimum). I guess Ted’s passing doesn’t change anything at “Robbers” as they are known. I was turned off by “Robbers” the very first time I went to them and they explained they were the only Canadian Wireless Carrier who charged YOU long distance charges if someone from oversees calls you! Couldn’t Ted have taken “Robbers” with him?

Well, as a (for undisclosed reasons) lover of all bb devices – I tried feaverishly to get one of these… From my ‘inside’ sources to the shady web pushers of questionable sources and settled on ordering from the king pin in Canada (Rogers) and swallowing hard when I was quoted the price $599!!! I tried to convince the chap on the phone that surely my $300/month rogers bill and my tortureous tenure should afford me a break – to no avail… So, I’m getting my Javelin from the crook I know and am giddy with anticipation pin:205c8d6e will soon be retired!
