While we were all sleeping soundly this weekend Verizon officially released an update to the Storm 9530 OS to version 4.7.0.75. The new version is a marked improvement over the shipped version but not the best out there currently.
You can pick up the latest version at vzw.smithmicro.com/blackberry/
It is available in both a web based and downloadable upgrade. Hopefully an OTA option will be available soon if not already.

so is the .76 better than the .75….My storm will be here today, i bought it for my son for christmas.

My buddy with a 9530 had done the upgrade to .75 via the leaked version a week ago, but nevertheless tried the OTA update and there WAS a single module different. So, even if you think you already have .75 via the leaked version go ahead and do an OTA upgrade check anyway.

The .76 is slightly faster than .75 yes. I got my unit today and it still had .65 so best download it now or use the OTA, you’re gonna need it.
