   im so freakin mad at allhell…last year they sucked me into getting 2 8830WE and said that there was going to be an update out ’soon’ that would add more features. i just called tech support today and the guy said they dont think they will do the official 4.5 for the 8830…and they MIGHT think about doing the 4.3 cuz the 8830 is being phased out…so out with the old and in with the new bold flip curve…who gives a f*** about those suckers we dooped last year?? just make them buy a new unit…and wait another year and screw them over too.
   so if ANYONE can hook me up with the 4.5 for CDMA 8830WE, i would love it and have an early Christmas present!!

   There have been several 4.5 releases for that phone posted to these blogs (not as many as the 8330, obviously); just research the old ones.

   You think that’s something; my Alltel representative who handles our account here at the office says that even though they’re rolling out the OS for the 8330’s that none of the devices will ever be shipped with the 4.5 software preinstalled; all customers will have to download it and upgrade themselves.

   He could be wrong; but seldom has he ever provided bad information to me.
