Getting a new BlackBerry is one of those little pleasure in life that we, as BlackBerry addicts, look forward to from the moment we spot an initial leak article on the web. Começar um novo BlackBerry é um daqueles pequenos prazeres na vida que nós, como viciados em BlackBerry, olhar para a frente a partir do momento em que ponto um artigo vazamento inicial na web. This week, I did just this. Esta semana, eu fiz exatamente isso. I finally got rid of my Bold and 'UPGRADED' to a brand new, BlackBerry Pearl 8220 Flip. Eu finalmente consegui livrar do meu Negrito e "Atualizado" para uma nova marca, o BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220. Now I think it was the waaay too long hype period for the Bold mixed with my chosen carriers (Optus Au) absolutely appalling 3G network (I had to eventually drop the device down to 2G so as not to drop every second phone call) that led to my disappointment with the 9000. Agora eu acho que foi o hype waaay período demasiado longo para o Bold misturada com minha transportadoras escolhidas (Optus Au) absolutamente chocante rede 3G (que eu tive que eventualmente deixe cair o dispositivo estabelece a 2G para não cair a cada telefonema segundo), que conduziram a minha decepção com o 9000. I wont hold back here. Eu não vou segurar aqui. I've always been a big fan of 'flip phones' before the BlackBerry bug bit. Eu sempre fui um grande fã de "flip telefones" pouco antes do bug do BlackBerry. I think I've still got my old Motorola V600 somewhere deep in the depths of my junk drawer. Acho que eu ainda tenho meu velho Motorola V600 em algum lugar lá no fundo de minha gaveta da sucata. When I first heard that RIM were going to release a flip version of the Pearl I was wrapped. Quando ouvi pela primeira vez que a RIM iam lançar uma versão flip do Pérola eu estava envolvido. Best of both worlds. O melhor dos dois mundos.

First up. Primeiramente acima. I think this is just about one of the best looking devices to come out of the big Canadian. Acho que este é apenas sobre um dos melhores dispositivos para quem sai do grande brasileiro. (I know,I know,  it's made in Mexico (Eu sei, eu sei, ele é feito no México :) ). ). Closed, it looks sleek and the overall weight is very surprising. Fechado, um aspecto elegante eo peso total é muito surpreendente. It's a real lightweight unit, especially when compared with the Bold. É uma verdadeira unidade leve, especialmente quando comparado com o Bold. Open it up and you are confronted with the familiar BlackBerry layout that most of us are used to. Abri-lo e você é confrontado com o layout BlackBerry familiar que a maioria de nós está acostumado. There is a sunken area around the trackball that actually makes for a better user experience than the setup on the Bold. The keyboard is a little, hmmm, how can I put this nicely, cheap ?? O teclado é um hmmm, pouco, como eu posso colocar isso muito bem e barato? It's your standard BB 'SureType' layout although the keys are larger than the standard Pearl we have grown to love over the years. É o layout do BB padrão 'SureType «embora as teclas são maiores do que o Pearl padrão que temos aprendido a amar ao longo dos anos. The keys just seem a little more lightweight that the original. As teclas parecem apenas um pouco mais leve que o original.

The outer screen is a very handy addition. O ecrã exterior é uma adição muito útil. (Could be a little higher resolution though… But that's just me whinging really) You can preview your unread email as they come in as well as all the standard notification features. (Poderia ser um pouco maior resolução embora ... The battery cover has been jazzed up with a little chrome BlackBerry logo (very bling RIM). A tampa da bateria foi jazzed com um logotipo BlackBerry pouco cromo (muito bling RIM). The right hand side has your standard volume up/down buttons, a smart key and a micro-SD card slot. The left hand side just has the one smart key, headphone/headset outlet and micro-USB (yep, not mini-USB as all your previous BB devices so that's another cable that you're going to need to carry around with you. Doh). O lado esquerdo só tem a chave de um smart, fone de ouvido / saída de fone de ouvido e micro-USB (sim, não mini-USB como todos os seus dispositivos anteriores BB para que um outro cabo que você vai precisar de transportar consigo. Doh ).

Straight out of the box I did what any good CrackBerry addict does and upgraded the firmware before I even had a chance to have a play. Em linha reta fora da caixa eu fiz o que qualquer viciado CrackBerry bom e não atualizou o firmware antes mesmo que eu tivesse uma chance de ter um jogo. The v4.6.0.174 seems to be fairly good so far with the only glitch so far is the status light not operational as soon as you come out of 'Bedside' mode. O v4.6.0.174 parece ser bastante boa medida com o único problema até agora é a luz de status não operacional logo que você sai do 'modo de cabeceira'. The rest of the applications are as per any Pearl running the latest firmware. O resto das aplicações são como por qualquer Pearl executando o firmware mais recente.

Overall, great device. Globalmente dispositivo, ótimo. RIM is on a winner with this new version of the Pearl. RIM está em um vencedor com esta nova versão do Pearl. I don't think it will replace the old model as you will always have your traditionalist that prefer the candy-bar design. Eu não acho que ele vai substituir o modelo antigo como você sempre terá o seu tradicionalistas que preferem o doce-design bar. This just compliments there overall growing arsenal of devices we are seeing from them. Isto só lá cumprimentos global crescente arsenal de dispositivos que estamos vendo a partir deles. I would recommend this one to business people that are on the go all day, students, or generally people who would prefer a smaller, lighter,  more phone like BlackBerry than either the Curve or the Bold. Gostaria de recomendar este um negócio para pessoas que estão a ir todos os dias, estudantes, ou geralmente as pessoas que preferem um menor, mais leve, como telefone do que quer o BlackBerry Curve ou o Negrito. It's a definite keeper for me and I've already 'fired' my Bold… at least until I can get hold of a Storm…… É um detentor definitivo para mim e eu já "disparou" minha Bold ... pelo menos até que eu possa se apossar de uma tempestade ... ... :)

    To small of screen for me. Para as pequenas da tela para mim. Definetly cheap feeling. Definitivamente sentimento barato. Once you go Qwerty you can't go back. Uma vez que você vá Qwerty você não pode voltar atrás.
