viigosports Viigo has really been on a roll recently with integrating sports in the free application. They now have NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, Motor Sports including NASCAR, Formula 1 and Indy Car, NCAA Football and Basketball, Soccer (European Football) including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup, English Premier League, Serie A and La Liga, and Golf, both PGA and LPGA… You get the picture.

Little by little they have been adding cool features to the newer sports channels like add to calendar and recaps. They have now started adding that to all sports. They have also implemented a bunch of new usability features to make the screens more user friendly. The nice part is that you do not need to update the application to get these new features.

  1. Viigo is definitely one of the top five free apps. The only thing I notice is that it tends to cause a lot of hour glass issues, sometimes even requiring a reboot although that’s rare. It seems to even cause this when running in the background so I frequently have make sure its not running. It also has some issues where channel updates seem to fail until you retry later.
Still, given how useful it is, I will accept those minor shortcomings. It will only get better.
