Curve 8900 Now FCC Approved – Does Not Fair Well In Review
T-Marco @ CellPhoneSignal spotted the Curve 8900 as it passed on the FCC site. Looks like all signs are go for a release on AT&T and T-Mobile soon.
On the other hand Simon over at BBCool pointed out a dampening review of the 8900 by Volker Weber. This is the first slightly critical review I have heard of about the 8900 but I have to agree with it from what I have heard.
First of all the battery charger is now on the bottom right of the keyboard which means that it is close to impossible to type on when it is charging. The jack is also a MicroUSB jack so none of those chargers you have lying around are going to work. The 8900 is lighter and smaller than the Bold which is a perk. The 3.2 megapixel camera gets a somber review since it seems to take about 2 seconds until the picture actually snaps. Meaning you have to hold really still…
In short it did not win Volkers editor-refuses-to-give-it-back-award… I guess I will stick with the Bold for now.
