Latest Nobex Radio Companion Adds Streaming Radio

We told you about Nobex Radio Companion a bit back. It helps you identify what song is playing on each radio station. I always thought they could improve the product by letting you actually listen to the radio and it looks like they listened. Mauricio let me know that you can now stream quite a few radio stations from the application. The latest version 2.0.0.90 adds this feature. I guess that is what they did with the extra funding they got from the developers challenge.

The sad part is that this feature is free for now but will not stay that way. They plan on charging a monthly subscription once it gets started. Personally I think they would be better off trying to put an advertisement in a free version and then having a paid version without it.

You can pick up this application at these links: OTA DownloadDesktop Download or you can read more about the new features on the Nobex site. They really need to work on updating their website a bit too…

    This is great.
They’d better NOT charge for this as there are totally free alternatives now (see FlyCast.fm for example)…

    Ad-based is perfectly fine.
