SendAFix – Send Your GPS Or Cell Tower Location Via Email & SMS
VirtualViews just let me know that they have released a slick new application called SendAFix. The application makes it easy to send or allow friends to request your location (GPS or cell tower) via email or SMS. SendAFix will determine your location based on GPS or cell towers and send a map to the recipient.
SendAFix works two ways:
- Send your location via the system wide “SendAFix” menu option by selecting a contact or typing in an email address or mobile number.
- Allow users to request your location when they send an email with the subject “SendAFix” or text the word “SendAFix” to your BlackBerry.
SendAFix will notify you that someone is requesting your location. If you allow the request SendAFix will try to determine your location and reply with a link to your location which can be viewed on a PC or Mobile device. You can give permission to specific people in your address book who can always view your location, such as close friend and family.
Its available now on sale in the store for $6.99 until Nov 15th compared to the regular price of $9.99. There is also a free trial for 3 days or 30 uses.
