Aerize Releases Update to Email Alerts Version 1.1.0

The guys over at Aerize let us know that they have released an update for the Aerize Email Alerts with some cool new features from suggestions they have received from all of you who have submitted suggestions and some bug fixes that users found in the previous version.

Note: They currently have a special price: $5.00 (regularly $10) until Oct 31 in the store

Things that I noticed that have change:

  • Menu has improve  now it is smaller and easier to use
  • menu has a count down of about 15 seconds then it closes the alert, if you begin to scroll on the alert the count down restarts.
  • You have the option to open the e-mail as before and if there are multiple alerts hit open and it will dismiss all previous alerts
  • The application is much faster and responds a lot better than before

One of the best things is if you were one of the lucky ones that was able to grab a copy for free from our last giveaways from a couple of weeks ago just upgrade and when your done  plug in the same code you got from Aerize the last time and your good to go. If you don’t have this application and your unsure they offer a 7 day free trial.

Here are some release notes from Aerize:

New features:

  • Re-designed easy to use queue based notifications
  • Adjustable message body preview (including HTML Email)
  • Added additional filter option for high priority messages
  • Additional auto-dismiss timeouts
  • Auto-dismiss countdown timer

Ease of Use:

  • Quick action buttons have been placed directly under the message header, becoming the default focus items.
  • When multiple alerts are available, select open to dismiss all alerts and go directly to the Inbox
  • The respective Email and SMS message folder is automatically opened, even if email and text message inboxes are separate.
  • The BlackBerry menu key acts as a sleep button, which will temporarily dismiss the alert allowing you to interact with other applications, and re-display in 15 seconds.

To get a copy of Email Alerts just head over to the store at http://store.berryreview.com. If you already own Aerize Email Alerts this update is free. You can pick up  the latest version at this link.

  1. I’m not often impressed by programs, but I do appreciate what this alert program does. Especially with the recent updates of auto-dismiss and adjustable body preview length. I think this is a program I’ll use for a long time.

  2. Are upgrades free? and if it is do I just download the trial and use the same activation code?

  3. How do you do the upgrade?

  4. Simply follow the link and download the trial version and once your phone re boots hopefully the code is not lost if it is just plug it in again and that’s all you need to do to upgrade.

  5. Sorry forgot but the Upgrade is FrEE to current users

  6. Is anyone else having a problem with the download? When I try to download it still shows version 1.0.2 not 1.1.0.

  7. I don’t like the auto-dismiss because in a meeting I can’t check my BlackBerry within 15 seconds and I still want to see the pop-up when I get to my BB eventually. I’m glad you can disable it :)

  8. The bug of showing me my old SMS messages each time my BlackBerry turns on has still not been fixed in this release. At least now I have the option to say “OK” to all of them at once rather than have to click through all, but still this is annoying.

  9. My only complaint is that they put the buttons before the preview message, so now you have to scroll down to read the message and then scroll back up.

  10. Its unbelievable how good this new version is, I didn’t like the buttons at first but they have really grown on me after just a day, they are easier and now one of my favorite features.

  11. Anyone else annoyed that when you choose to Delete an e-mail it only deletes it from your Handheld? I have my Yahoo Mail going to my BB, and pre-Aeize when I would delete it would delete from both BB and from Yahoo. If I delete it I do really want it gone. I found out last week that when I’d choose to delete using Aerize that it was NEVER deleting from Yahoo as well, only the BB. Thus my Yahoo inbox was getting huge!! Can’t Aerize see the preferences set in my Email accounts and do what it set there??
