While I was out on vacation Aerize released a nifty new application. It is very similar to the PeekaWho application we mentioned before but adds a few differentiating features. Aerize Email AlertsĀ essentially previews each email with the senders picture and name, the subject of the Email, and a brief preview while you are in a different application.
Their new version 1.0.2 change log is below:
- Resolved issue where white screen may be displayed behind alert
- Resolved issue where SMS notifications may not correctly look-up contact
- Resolved issue where alert may be auto-dismissed incorrectly
- Also fixed a few exception errors that occurred for some devices.
They do have some cool features that make it stand out
- Contact pictures – Integrated contact picture, name, the subject of the email, and a brief preview for the pupup notification.
- Easier filters – Filters are easier to use and setup, you can hide popups from anyone that is not in the contacts, or doesn’t have a contact picture.
- Customizable Notification – The clean and appealing popup notification can have a small, normal or large font.
- SMS support – In addition to BES and BIS email, SMS is supported
- Auto Wake – The back-light will automatically be turned on when a new popup notification is displayed.
The application is available now in the store for $5 until October 31st after which it jumps up to $10.

Awesome, thanks! I noticed one thing in the store, when checking out this app it offers to do a bundle with Aerize Card Loader for $27. Unless my math is really bad, I thought $15 (card loader) plus $5 (email alerts) equaled $20. Not a good bundle deal for $27!

Check out the latest version of PeeKaWho (http://smrtguard.com/peek.jsp), too — the”few differentiating features” that Ronen mentions are no longer differentiating when compared against PeeKaWho 1.160 (the latest).

@Tom
These two applications are managing to keep neck in neck. I love competition!!! Makes for some great innovation… This application category did not even exist a month ago and now it is taking off.

Yeah they are definitely the copy but that would be like saying Empower HTML viewer was a copy of BBSmart HTML viewer…
The free copy IS totally free you just need to put the registration code where it says serial number…
