SmrtGuard Private Beta – Your BlackBerry Guardian

smrtguard_preview1Erica let me know about this promising new beta application for BlackBerry that is coming out shortly. You have to sign up to become part of the private beta but she said that she got accepted pretty easily. This app comes from the same developers of Peekawho & FollowUp.

What it does:

  • Auto schedule wireless backup of your PIMs (Address book, memos, todos, calendar)
  • Restore PIMs to new device
  • Self-destruct sensitive data remotely
  • Locate your BlackBerry on GoogleMap when misplaced or lost (no GPS required)
  • “Lojack” you BlackBerry to track thief who has taken your BlackBerry
  • Audio PING to help you HEAR your BlackBerry even if you fully silenced it

From their website it looks like this was supposed to be available in the end of September so it will hopefully be out soon. Check out more information at smrtguard.com.

Let us know if you are part of the current beta!
