Suspicions Confirmed – Free Rove Mobile Viewer & Mobile File Manager Discontinued!!!

Back in March Rove Mobile announced that their Mobile Viewer screenshot application & Mobile File Manager FTP application would now be free. Now a few months later they no longer show up on their site when they consolidated all their products into one. I had my suspicions that the products would no longer be available but I have not had a chance to follow up with Rove since I have been in Boston at a conference.

Tom did some digging and got the following message from Rove:

Mobile File Manager was officially discontinued as of Tuesday September 16th, and is no longer available for download from our website. That said, if you do own a registered license for this software, you should be able to download this from the customer portal (under Legacy products) by logging in to your account.

I did a quick search for your registration and was not able to locate this in our records by searching under your name. Do you happen to know the name, account name or email address the software was purchased under? (If you have an order number that would also help!)

I guess if you did not purchase it back in the day you are $#!+ out of luck. I still don’t see what Rove has to gain by pulling a product they were already offering for free…

Feel free to send an email to Rove at info@rovemobile.com to let them know you want Rove Mobile Viewer & File Manager back. I know I will!
