BIS 2.5 Service Pack 1 Release Notes Leaked
We got an email from a reader with the upcoming release notes & known issues for BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service). Nothing really crazy to be found here but its worth a look if you are interested in this kind of stuff.
Here is an idea of what is covered:
- In some cases messages with a 32kHz, 24 bit, 96K bit rate WAV file caused an error from a certain unnamed vendor…
- Better foreign language support for Windows Live/Hotmail/MSN and others
- Fixes issue where some emails that did not contain a tag in the header code did not render correctly
And my favorite part is the known issue:
Known Issue: In some cases, if subscribers with a Windows Live account (using MSP) receive email messages on their BlackBerry device that contain non-English characters in the subject, the characters display as question marks.
Impact: Subscribers might be frustrated that they cannot read the subject of their email messages.
Workaround: None.
