There has been some great stuff coming out of the CTIA Convention in San Francisco this week aside from RIM’s announcement of their first flip phone. This one really caught my eye as I have 6 cats and 3 dogs.
With the number of people accessing the Internet on mobile devices skyrocketing (estimates show that by the year 2012 there will be almost 100 million mobile Internet users in the US alone) it seems like everyone is jumping on the mobile bandwagon. Purina announced that they have launched their own mobile website, www.purina.mobi, as well as partnered with Go2 to create www.go2pets.com.
Purina.Mobi is a site that is mostly dedicated to adding a bit of canine or feline touch to our mobile devices including wallpapers and ringtones. They also have some tips and of course, a link to learning more about Purina pet food.
Go2Pets on the other hand allows pet owners access to some really great information. You can find all sorts of travel information like; airline policies on traveling with pets, hotel chains in your area that are pet friendly and even restaurants that will accept pets. They also have activities you can do with your pet, locations of beaches and off-leash parks, a pet directory (giving you numbers to shelters, groomers, pet stores and a whole lot more) and even hotline numbers.
