Add Photos To Picasa Web Albums By Email!
After RIM and Google let their Picasa BlackBerry application die I thought there would not be another solution for awhile. Raffy sent me a link to Google System which discovered that you can now email pictures to Picasa and it will automatically be added to your album. Pretty cool stuff especially since it is free and does not require any other applications on your BlackBerry.
According to Google System you need to visit your Picasa Web settings page and enable the setting “Allow me to upload photos by email.” From there you will get your email address to send photos to in the format of username.secretkey@picasaweb.com. All you do is email your pictures as attachments to that link.
Images are automatically put in your Drop Box album unless you specify another album in the subject of your email. You can email JPG, GIF, & PNG images through this method.
