EA Mobile Releases Madden NFL 09 For BlackBerry
EA is still getting its feet wet with BlackBerry games but is hitting strong with some well known titles. I really got excited when I got an email from Handango announcing that EA is now offering Madden NFL 09 for the BlackBerry. Pretty good news if you are a NFL fan. Can’t promise you how good the gameplay will be but I can tell you that the graphics look a bit blocky. I just found that some of EA’s games require you to move diagonally which is not possible with the trackball so you need to use the keyboard keys.
Sadly the is no trial and the screenshots of the game are not from a BlackBerry from what I can tell. EA needs to refine their BlackBerry focus if they want to be taken seriously. I know I would not blindly pay $14.95 with only a few screenshots to convince me that it is worth it. Especially after playing SKATE with its frustrating controls. Not the vague description mentioning that “features may vary by handset”
