Oakie sent in this great article by Marshall Brain of HowStuffWorks the does a great job of explaining Lithium-Ion batteries. Oakie enviada neste ótimo artigo por Marshall Brain do HowStuffWorks a faz um grande trabalho de explicar de Lítio-Íon. In case you did not know, this is the type of battery that powers your Berry. Caso você não saiba, este é o tipo de bateria que alimenta o seu Berry. I found the description quite interesting and thought I would share. Achei que a descrição bastante interessante e pensei que eu iria partilhar. Here are some FAQ points I thought were worthy of mention: Aqui estão alguns pontos FAQ Pensei que eram dignos de menção:

  • BlackBerrybattery They have no memory effect , which means that you do not have to completely discharge them before recharging. Eles não têm efeito de memória, o que significa que você não precisa descarregar totalmente antes de recarregar.

  • They start degrading as soon as they leave the factory. They will only last two or three years from the date of manufacture whether you use them or not. On a side note Em uma nota lateral Alexandre from Blackberry-fr.com (French) Alexandre de Blackberry-fr.com (francês) let me know about a bad experience he had with his brand new Bolds battery. deixe-me saber sobre uma má experiência que teve com a sua marca Bolds bateria nova. For some reason his Bold became hot (screen and back) so he took out the battery and  put it back 5 min later. Por alguma razão o seu Bold ficou quente (a tela e volta) para que ele tirou a bateria e colocá-lo de volta 5 minutos depois. After an hour it was completely dead and will no longer take a charge. Depois de uma hora estava completamente morto e deixará de ter uma carga. I really hope this does not happen to my future Bold. Eu realmente espero que isso não aconteça Bold ao meu futuro.

    Yea doesnt the highspeed internet heat up the phone sometimes if you leave it on, well its not like you have an option to disable highspeed and just leave it at 2G. Sim doesnt o calor Internet de alta velocidade até o telefone, por vezes, se você deixá-lo, bem como a sua não tiver uma opção para desativar alta velocidade e só deixá-lo em 2G.

    Now i know why my BB shut down for a day after I took it to the beach. Agora eu sei porque meu BB fechada por um dia depois de eu o levei para a praia. I thought it died and was miraculously resurrected. Eu pensei que morreu e foi milagrosamente ressuscitado.

    20% per month? 20% por mês? After 1 month, it's at 80% of max capacity. Após 1 mês, é de 80% da capacidade máxima. After 2, it's 64%. Após 2, é de 64%. After 3, it's 51%. Após 3, é 51%.

    That's right… with those batteries, you'd get but half the life after a mere 3 months. That's right ... com as baterias, mas você deseja obter metade da vida depois de apenas 3 meses. Takes a bit more than a year to be totally dead. Leva um pouco mais de um ano para ser totalmente morto. Can anyone say “iPod battery”? Pode alguém dizer "bateria do iPod"?
