You have clarified BB wifi devices can stream video from websites. Can Blackberry Bold stream video 3GPP on a LAN network from a wireless camera just giving IP address of the Camera device. Or do you have to specify RTSP:// for path.

That is a very old knowledgebase article based on OS 4.2 for BlackBerry. Since then RIM has released devices with OS 4.3 and 4.5 which both support video streaming. You can see what I mean at this link describing the features in OS 4.3 when it was first released:

This is not the best knowledgebase article since it is already out of date but I can confirm that my BlackBerry can stream video from Youtube mobile over an edge connection with AT&T.

As far as I’m aware the BB Bold will be their first smartphone that will support direct video streaming on their OS. We’d love to be corrected on this matter and start serving video streams to BB customers.

Most of the OS 4.5 and 4.3 devices that are out now do support video streaming from YouTube and others through support of 3gp if I am not mistaken. Will this ever be supported?
