A friend of mines BlackBerry was having problems with its profiles and I thought it might help to use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to clear the Profiles database. Een vriend van mijnen BlackBerry had problemen met de profielen en ik dacht dat het zou kunnen bijdragen aan BlackBerry Desktop Manager te gebruiken om de profielen database duidelijk. Turns out that this is not that easy on a device hooked up to a BES! Blijkt dat dit niet zo makkelijk op een apparaat aangesloten op een BES! All of the BES synchronized databases are grayed out in the selective/advanced restore options which means that you cannot restore or clear them… For the calendar, contacts, & tasks you can fix this by turning off the wireless sync but you don't have this option for all the other databases on your BlackBerry. Without the help of your BES admin: Zonder de hulp van uw BES admin:

  1. Go to settings/options->Advanced Options->Service Books and select the Desktop [Sync] service book Ga naar settings/options-> Geavanceerde opties-> Service Boeken en selecteer het Desktop [Sync] service book
  2. Click the menu button and select delete. Klik op het menu-knop en selecteer verwijderen.
  3. Then do your selective restore or clear from your desktop Dan doe je selectief herstellen of wissen van uw bureaublad
  4. Then disconnect your BlackBerry and click the menu button on that same service book and select undelete Vervolgens koppelt u uw BlackBerry en klik op de menuknop op diezelfde dienst boek en selecteer undelete

    A far better way to backup the primary PIM applications (Address Book, Calendar, Tasks, and Memo Pad) is to go into the individual application on your BlackBerry, CLICK the Scroll Wheel or Menu Button and select Options. Een veel betere manier om een reservekopie van de primaire PIM-applicaties (Adresboek, Agenda, Taken en Memo Pad) is in te gaan op de individuele toepassing op uw BlackBerry, klikt u op Scroll Wheel of de knop Menu en selecteert u Opties. Then scroll to the line “Wireless Synchronization”, and hit [Space] to change it from Yes to NO. Ga vervolgens naar de lijn "draadloze synchronisatie", en druk op [Space] is te veranderen van Yes op NO.

    Now you will be able to back up the data in these applications. Nu kunt u back-up van de gegevens in deze toepassingen. You do NOT need to delete any service books for this operation. U hoeft niet iedere dienst boeken schrappen voor deze operatie.

    Oh yea – don't forget to turn Wireless Sync back on when you're done! Oh ja - vergeet niet om draadloze Sync weer aan te zetten wanneer je klaar bent!

    Thanks for this essential information that I haven't found elsewhere on the web for this problem. Bedankt voor deze essentiële informatie die ik niet elders op het web voor dit probleem hebben gevonden. It has saved me twice now. Het heeft me gered twee keer nu.
