SteelWorks Offers Easy BES Appliance – Is It Any Good?
The SteelWorks offering is nothing new but recently I was asked by a colleague about an easy way to bring BES functionality to a mid-sized law firm he works for. I did a little research and came across SteelWorks which offers essentially what I would call a BES in a box.
Pretty interesting stuff for smaller companies that just don’t have the budget to justify a full-time BES admin. It simplifies the install process and the BES project as a whole. They also have an impressive sales proposition and a pretty good online demo available on their website.
At first I was thinking of recommending BlackBerry Professional Server but that does not seem to be getting the same attention from RIM as BES. He is still looking around so if you know of any other solutions/ideas let me know. I am sure others would be interested to hear about them. Also if you happen to have evaluated or implemented SteelWorks feel free to give your opinion in the comments.
