So I broke down and installed this new version, and it actually doesn’t lock-up my 8320. Go figure! What an improvement.

Wow and I just uninstalled the previous version from my BlackBerry yesterday because I was tired of the Movie searches locking up my BlackBerry. Should I risk this version?

Another BIG change since your review (actually, in v0.9.1) is the ability to configure Google Maps instead of BlackBerry Maps as the mapping app that Poynt uses — great for those of us who have uninstalled BlackBerry Maps in favor of Google Maps and others!
