ProxPro Free Beta Updated To Version 0.2
We mentioned the ProxPro beta before when it was first announced. It essentially gives you proximity and traffic alerts free on your BlackBerry. Raffy let me know that they have just updated their beta to version 0.2 which brings a few improvements to the table. You can upgrade by going to Upgrade to wap.proxpro.com/prompt on your BlackBerry or visiting http://www.proxpro.com. It looks like ProxPro is dedicated to improving their application. They are asking users to send in feedback and their wishlists for their next release.
New in this version:
Improvements to User Experience
- It is always important to see where we are going. The Prompt countdown alarm has been moved to the top of the screen so the trip, that best avoids traffic, is visible start to finish.
- As you progress on your the map adjusts enlarging to show more detail as you approach your destination.
- A new “LocateMe” feature is available in the menu so you can quickly update your start location, without having to wait for GPS.
7-day Visibility
- The Prompt calendar now opens at today’s date and you can plan your trips for the next 7 days.
- Flip between your BlackBerry applications and Prompt using the “call end” key. The “escape key” will take you back to the calendar.
- Switch Prompt on/off in preferences, whenever you like. When you want to activate Prompt again just click the icon on your home screen.
- See the many more improvements and the main bugs have now been fixed too.
