Tom liet me enkel weten dat WorldMate zijn software aan versie 2.0 heeft bijgewerkt. Er is geen gekke hoeveelheid nieuwe eigenschappen in de recentste versie. De belangrijkste toevoegingen zijn de capaciteit om hotels van uw Blackberry te boeken en officiële steun voor het Blackberry Bold/9000.

Als u een frequente reiziger bent is dit welomlijnd moet op uw Blackberry. U kunt de nieuwe versie omhoog ondertekenen en opnemen bij www.worldmatelive.com.

  1. I upgraded and now the program just hangs/freezes on the sign-in screen. I end up looking at the “Please wait…” Screen for hours. I’ve contacted support and received NO support. And I’m even one of the stupid ones that actually paid them the $100 for the gold account. No support + no access to the program = out of luck. So much for entering several of my business trips into this.

  2. Wow that sucks Benjamin. Sorry to hear that. What do you mean when you say there is no support? Is it only by email or do they not have a phone number?

  3. The only way I can find to get support is through their website. Once you login to your account, you can fill out a support request. All of my support requests, once submitted, have said… “Your support request has been received.” Yet, I’m still waiting and have heard nothing. Not even an email response saying that they’re working on the problem.

    And now I’m going through several blackberry forums and finding that other people are being locked out of their accounts once they upgrade.

    I’ve even asked the WorldMate guys if they could just give me the link to the OLD version which did work, but I get no response.

    Same here, all I get is the is the “Please Wait” sign also. Everything is OK on my laptop but NOT able to sign-in on my BlackBerry.
    What gives? I thought it was just me. And yes there is NO… I repeat NO support for this problem. I have contacted them by email as they say to do numerous times on this issue and nothing in return.

    I am having the same issue as well and I love this application. I am a paid user and have been for over a year with no issues. They must be having a server problem. I have sent in a request and usually hear back within a day or two. Hopefully this will get fixed asap.

    I travel today through next wed, 6 flights total, and rely on this application. This is not good.

  6. It’s amazing that so many people are having this problem and the developers are responding to NOBODY. Couldn’t they just post a short little… “We’re having technical difficulties…” or something. Hiding behind a closed door is not the way to install confidence in their customers… or future customers.

  7. Thanks for the heads up guys. I updated the post to reflect these issues. I am telling readers to hold off for now. Its a shame since this would have been a nice addition to the service… Let me know when this is fixed if you can. I wonder what their support is up to.

  9. I just got an email from WorldMate support. They said that they just released a new update, which should fix the problem. I’ll let you know if it works.

    I would like to express my apologies to all of you who have experienced the login problem we had on version 2.0.12.

    I am happy to announce that, as of yesterday (Aug 15th), we released version 2.0.13, which completely fixes this problem.
    All you have to do is install the new version (http://www.wmlive.com/set_up.php) over the old one and you’re good to go.
