FAQ: Activity Log – Find All Your Activity With A Contact

Kimberly just let me know about a small quick tip that I found quite useful. If you open your address book and highlight a contact. Click the menu button and select “Activity Log” from the menu. This will show you all SMS, email, & phone calls between you and that contact.

This is a bit more powerful than the “search sender” option in the messages application. It also combines the information you would get if you went to the phone application and selected “view history.”

Very useful if you did not know about it. You could always get this information using a custom search but I find this easier.

Thanks for the reminder Kimberly!

  1. What version OS or what application adds this to the Address Book?

I’m running OS v4.2.1.79 on an 8800, and it’s not available.

  2. I’m running 4.2.X on my 8320 and I don’t see it either.

  3. I’m running 4.5.69 and I have these features. Tested it before and it’s really helpful tracking down old sms

Yeah, that’s a 4.5 tip. Kimberly should have pointed that out.

  5. Sorry guys I don’t have OS 4.2 on any of our test devices anymore. Bit of an oversight on my part… I just assumed it was always there and I just did not see it before.
