More Pictures Of The BlackBerry Javelin

Kevin @ CrackBerry managed to score some more pictures of the Javelin. There are not pictures of the real device but they show off some of the major features. I guess this is starting to explain why everybody who plays with the device thinks it is the next Curve and slightly preferable to the Bold.

What I noticed:

  • MicroUSB instead of the standard MiniUSB slot is confirmed. What a bummer
  • Dedicated lock unlock button! Pretty cool stuff if you don’t use a holster.
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with a glass cover! That will be a hit compared to the  dust trap camera on the Curve…
  • For some reason the MicroSD card slot is under the battery cover but you can change it without removing the battery.

Thanks to Randy for sending this one in. More shots after the jump:

  1. OH.. I’m waiting for this to come out. The bolds nice, don’t get me wrong, but.. By the time this comes out, I’ll be able to afford to get it and be right back at the top. I kinda see the Bold and Javlin like the World Ed and Curve.. One made more for the business man, the other for the consumer.

I think it is a great idea to have the expansion card under the battery door. Probably helps to make it less creaky with less openings, and also smoother lines on the outside. I only wish RIM will go and quickly release it worldwide. Why 2009?

I really wish it would be a last minute deal if they threw in 3G for T-Mo

Wow I love it!! This will totally replace my 8320, as long as it comes to T-Mo. It will, right? I am so annoyed the Thunder is only coming to Verizorn.

  5. DAMN look at that sexy ass cellie!

  6. Damm, no 3G network…..
