Jajah Does Chinese To English Voice Translations Free
Now this service is clearly targeted towards English speaking users heading to the Olympics in China. Turns out that Jajah launched a new service today that translates between English and Chinese Mandarin in quasi-realtime.
You just call their US, UK, or Australian access code from any phone and talk into it. It will then confirm what you said and then translate it into Chinese. It works the same way from Chinese to English but in reverse. So I guess you would have to hand the phone back and forth between you and a unlucky local.
Just another way to act like a complete fool while traveling! TechCrunch and Mashable have pretty favorable things to say about the service but neither recommend relying on it. I just wonder why they don’t have a local number in China…
Check it out at www.jajahbabel.com and let me know what you think! If anything it could be fun to use as a prank at work.
