TellMe Now Works With Non-GPS BlackBerrys

tellme TellMe was released a bit back as a free application by Microsoft. In the beginning they only supported GPS enabled BlackBerry devices. Nikilaus just let me know that TellMe sent him an email that it now supports the 8320 and other GPS less BlackBerrys.

The latest version 1.82.12 lets GPS less users take advantage of TellMe. I am not sure if you were really holding your breath waiting for this but it is nice to see that it is still under development…

I don’t think it’s T-Mo, I think that MS who makes TellMe doesn’t handle the connection elements of the 8320 correctly. Google Maps 2.2.x has the same problem. The 8320 is a different beast then most of it’s brethren.

So far…so good. Its working pretty well on my 8310 ATT w/ 4.2.2 OS. The voice feature worked better than the google maps beta version. I am having fun with it. Altho sometimes i get results that is way off my target …but then maybe i have not pronounced it well enough ;-p So all i have to do is repeat it and it gives me the correct one. :-) Pretty cool!
