Verizon Union Employees Might Go On Strike
Now this is an interesting turn of events. David just sent me a news article detailing how Verizon’s current contract with their union expires at 11:59PM on Saturday. Both the Communications Workers of America and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (Over 65,000 members) have voted to strike if a new 5 year deal is not signed.
It is not like this does not happen all the time but after having to live through the subway strike in New York City they still catch my attention. Turns out that the Union workers did strike back in 2000 but in 2003 decided to extend negotiations.
Better get what you need by Saturday or call in your customers service requests just in case…
