T-Mobile To Launch 3G On October 1st?

I know T-Mobile fans have been waiting forever to join the 3G bandwagon. I just read on TmoNews.com that 3G is coming to come 20 or so cities on October. You can see the sign that this news is based on below. Try to find your city on the tiny map below. :)

I just wish T-Mobile would have stuck with a standard frequency for 3G instead of making up their own. That means upcoming 3G phones will have to be T-Mobile specific for 3G to work… That means you can’t just use an unlocked AT&T 3G BlackBerry Bold. What a bummer.

I am somewhat Glad that it is unique anyway, no fun to be like everybody else just imagine some hidden things coming our way, I love my blackberry but I would like to see how the Gphone will work on their network.

They can’t do that very easily with the way the FCC works. They have to work with approved bands that happen to be up for sale.
