Frank just let me know that the previously released free xPlayer MP3 player for BlackBerry is now called Mobiola xPlayer and is available from SHAPE. Supposedly Mobiola xPlayer has the same functionality as xPlayer with the addition of internet radio. All the functionality from the original xPlayer is free in Mobiola xPlayer but you have to pay an extra $19.95 for the radio support. Have not had a chance to test that myself but let me know!
Features that require purchase:
- Listen to Live music and stay informed about the latest events from live news!
- Explore the large list of predefined radio stations in all genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock, Hiptop & RNB, world, pop.
- Easy to manage station list: Add / Delete / Edit stations.
Free Features:
- Nearly all audio and video formats supported: mp3, m4a, avi, mp4, 3gp, wma, amr, mid, wav.
- Video full screen playback. Watch full screen video your BlackBerry screen.
- Playlist management: Create, Edit and Save your own playlists. Add a single file or a whole folder to a playlist.
- Advanced playlist sorting options: by title, by author or by path.
- Playlist Shuffle. xPlayer can play your songs in random order if you do not want to know what file is coming next.
- Forward/Rewind feature.
- Use different themes to change the look of xPlayer.
- Background mode.
- Long battery life.
You can read more about it at this link. OTA download is available from wap.shapeservices.com

I haven’t tried the new Mobiola yet, but xPlayer is the best thing we have to play videos. It’s so light, fast, responsive!

Paid the 19.95 at Handango, downloaded and installed. But when accessing live radio, message says I get 7 days, then have to pay because live radio is a commercial service. Since there is no where to pay additional fee, think this may be a bug but not sure will have to wait 7 days and see.

OK. Received the registration code to unlock live radio. Now if I could only figure out where to enter it….

I tried this out for several days, but it even paused playing my mp3s. Also found that many of the radio sites didn’t work, so I’ve deleted.

I love the updated xPlayer – not so much for music (or radio) but for the full screen video. Totally excellent to be able to watch a movie on my BlackBerry 8800, and the battery life is excellent.

I intalled Mobiola XPlayer on my 8703e and it blew up my blackberry. It’s showing on the Applications screen, but when I connect to the Desktop Manager, I don’t see that it’s loaded.
Can anyone tell me how to get it uninstalled?
Thanks!

Can someone test http://www.TalkStreamLive.mobi with the xPlayer on your BB.
I’d like to know if it works with the talk radio WMA’s and music mp3 streams?

I downloaded xPlayer on my 8820, but I cant seem to get the full screen video. I transfered all my videos on my micro SD to xPlayer, but still doesnt make a difference in the screen size. There’s just a black rim around the video. Anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

How I get xPlayer to actually browse and play files on the Blackberry (micro SD card)? It looks like it is only browsing on the shape website. Thanks.
