Gypsii – New Version Available

Comments Off

Granted that I have not used Gypsii before and can not entirely comment on the use and functionality of the product, but I was going through my feeds this weekend and came across a post over at Pinstack by Sam from Gypsii informing that they have updated Gypsii with some new features.

If you are not sure what Gypsii is all about, here is a solution excerpt from their site:

GyPSii connects people and content to places and networks, from work to play to home, allowing you to share your real life experiences in the virtual world, using mobile devices, the web and Internet connected devices.

GyPSii enables you to social network, capture, edit and share your user generated content and places. You can explore location based content, services and points of interest, find people, your friends and content in your select communities, connect your experiences, locate and map your friends and places.

Build an electronic diary of people, your friends, your places, their places with full location context & maps to be shared and viewed with family, friends, business colleagues and communities.”…more

Gypsii is not only for mobiles, but there is also a Web client. Read more here.

New Features:

  • Entirely rebuilt software which is infinitely (well, almost!) faster than the previous version
  • New UI design
  • Easier to use location-aware PlaceMe (photo-based life recording and sharing), SpaceMe (friend finder) and ExploreMe (search and discover)
  • Works on 81xx devices as well as 83xx and 88xx
  • Manually set location when GPS signal is weak or non-existent

Gypsii is available for the following mobile devices at the same link below:

  • RIM Blackberry smartphone devices
  • Symbian S60 Nokia phones
  • Windows Mobile for Pocket Net Phones
  • GyPSii for Apple’s iPhone
  • Other Java and BREW phones very soon
