You don’t know how happy I was when I managed to confirm this latest bit of news! Kevin @ CrackBerry mentioned DivX support once in his first review but nothing past that. I have been wanting DivX support for ages. It means I wont have to re-encode all of my video files to watch them on my BlackBerry!
I had Secret Agent 001 try a DivX file on a production Bold and it worked like a charm. We also managed to get a hold of a screenshot of the BlackBerry Bold product sheet specifications. The spec sheets confirm that DivX version 4 is fully supported and versions 5 & 6 are partially supported along with partial support for XviD. Look at the details at the bottom of the first image.

Funny that you might ask. T-Mobile uses the 1700Mhz band for 3G as far as I know. That means no Bold for awhile now… sad
