I have att and just got the yahoo messenger put on the phone I was also getting the "not enabled for this handheld" and all I did was call and tell them that and they walked me through how to get it on. :) it works perfectly now. But FYI it uses text and not data so I would reccomend the unlimited text plan

The oz messenger powers three messenger services. I hope this helps anyone. Click on the media net icon on your main menu then scroll down the page to mail and messaging.then click on mobile Im and a box should pop up asking to download oz instant messaging before u click download check the box that says set application permissions then hit download. Another box should pop up asking about the app permissions, click view. When the next page comes up showing the permissions hit the menu button on your phone and click save. It should automatically start downloading. Once its finished downloading, turn your phone off, wait a few seconds then turn it back on. If you look on your phone menu there should be a new icon with two people standing side by side click on it and you are good to go. If you already downloaded that other yahoo messenger that was telling you that the service is not enabled, go ahead and delete it, you only need the oz messaging. If u still have problems email me at mack3152002@yahoo.com

Well, I have a 8310 with ATT. I resent service books, re-registered, battery pull than downloaded yahoo msg. It still would not allow me to log in.

How is it AT&T says its Now able too use this feature IF I cant even Sign in? I can get MSN working But EVEN after resending my Service Book AND reseting Nothing Seems too Work so I just deleted it. Any suggestions on How to get the App too work for an 8310?

I just went and talked to ATT customer service, apparently they do not support the yahoo messenger downloaded from the blackberry site...they just support the OZ Messenger from MediaNet. They are saying its not compatible with their phones. Yet Blackberry RIM made sure there is a working version for the blackberrys.

confusing....

WLM looks nice. Kinda reminds me of the blackberry messenger with the difference that you can comunicate with non-blackberry users that are logged in to computer... it even has the options to show your IM's in the message list, much like the BB Messenger

The problem is that WLM tells everyone on your contacts list that you are on a mobile device so if you want it to be indistinguishable from your PC (like I do) we are SOL. I may keep beejive because it looks like you're on the pc when you are mobile.

Yeah, its been around for at least 2 weeks now. I use an 8100c pearl and I was clicking the messenger page for fun and there it was....
I have all 3 installed and yes...you don't need any hacks now...

I feel sorry for all those who bought other messenger services like beejive or so...:-(

One catch, they drain the battery very fast...
