Verizon Free Mobile Banking Application
I know I have been wanting more of my banks to support mobile access so I guess this is good news. I just wish it were not limited to Verizon only. Verizon just released a FREE application that lets you access your bank accounts and perform a few basic functions.
So far it gives you:
- Account Balance and Transaction History — Get account balances and account transaction history.
- Transfers — Transfer funds between eligible accounts at the same financial institution.
- Bill Payment — View and pay bills when enrolled in their financial institution’s Bill Pay service.
- Mobile History — View the last five transactions successfully completed on their mobile devices.
Verizon is stating that the application is free so this sounds great for Verizon users. Currently Wachovia, Regions, SunTrust, USAA, Synovus, America First Credit Union (AFCU), Arvest, Bancorp South, FirstBank, South Financial and BECU are supported in the application. Since they seem to be missing all the big players I hope Verizon is working on adding big names like Bank Of America, CitiBank, & WAMU.
The application is compatible with the 8130, 8330, & 8830.If you bank was mentioned above just head on over to mobile.vzw.com from your BlackBerry and click the mobile banking option.
