Some people who installed the latest OS 4.5.0.52 are mourning the loss of their folder icons on their homescreen ribbon. This has bothered quite a few people and I am glad to say there is finally a solution. Josep sent me a link to these great instructions by Luckman on PinStack detailing how to get your folder icons back.![]()
I really am not that attached to my folder icons but if you are I recommend checking it out. To fix this you will need JL_Cmder to get this to work. You can pick up JL_Cmder on BBForums at this link but you need to be registered to download it.
Check out Luckyman’s instructions at this link on PinStack. Nice work Luckyman!

Based on those instructions, I think I’ll just wait for the next build to come out. My three identical yellow folders are annoying but I know which is which.

Yeah! George Foreman has five sons named George and he also knows which is which. Piece of cake!

Just to let EVERYONE know, this file is 2MB. It is not only folders but all media associated with the locked folders on a factory device (picture,MMS samples, music, and lastly icons). I loaded it not knowing this, fortunately javaloader -usb erase -f quickly fixed this. Two meg of memory is not worth it for 10 folders.

I guess I should have grabbed the instructions this morning. I was actually more interested in the media files than the folders, but the thread is now gone.

Dont want to re invent the wheel but cant I just dump to
device /samples/folder/icons
Easily accessable via the free version of Aerize file browser.
I would try but I dont know the format required for BB folder icons ?
Any ideas or is this just nonsense.
