Thanks to another anonymous tipster who we will call “J” who sent in a link to OS 4.5.0.52 (75) for the 8320 he found floating free on the interweb. I know quite a few of you have been waiting for it. This is the latest version out there now with .53 around the corner.
Just as an example of where it can be found:

This is not a bad improvement at all, the menu flow is more quick and alittle more responsive. Picture quality has seem to improve (slightly). I honestly feel the video has improved dramatically, I do not see lags when the camera is moved fast left to right, there’s alittle more detail in the video also.
The browser, oh man, I also feel like they revamped it up alittle, I use to have problems with pages hanging sometimes now things load in half the time, berry review on EDGE loaded in 4 seconds, google in 3 second. Not bad Im also running on about 23 MB of memory with Opera, MyPoynt, Vlingo, Sodoku, Gmail, Google Maps, Viigo Beta, Jivetalk, Docs To Go, Flickr and a few small apps as well as shortcuts.
For those who still use Vlingo, It WAS working with the previous BETA but does not work now again with the new build so yea. Thats all for now.

Sorry, but I havent found anything for 8830…I’ll post back if I do. vLingo works again after you download the latest version from their site. I upgraded to 4.5.0.52 from .46 and it has fixed everything I was complaining about…voice mail icon is back, NO crashes at all, no memory leaks, UMA is rock solid, everything feels very snappy and polished. It feels like its ready for an official release

Version 4.5.0.52 still resets the BB Messenger contacts on a device reset but is the most stable version to date. I just wish they could fix the BB Messenger issue.
If anyone at RIM see this. Please Fix!

Damn! I was hoping it fixed the BB messenger reset. That’s the only problem i’ve had with the last 2 betas .44 and .46. I have too damn many contacts in BB messenger to have to lose them everytime I reset my bb. It just feels better to be able to reset it from time to time. However, I’ll still download .52 when I get home. Hope it’s worth it.

Quick dumb question when i upgrade my version/firmware from my current to the new will i lose all my 3rd party applications or will they stay? and are these 3rd party applications guaranteed to work?

Several “official” releases of 4.5.0.52 found on https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do
Primarily for 8120, 8320, and 8820. Look at the Orange carriers, they seem to be ahead of the rest.
