After reading this Na het lezen van deze article on Mashable by Steven Hodson artikel over Mashable door Steven Hodson , I recognized a trend. , Herkende ik een trend. It seems like every week there is a new buddy location finder or GPS location monitoring application for BlackBerry. Het lijkt alsof elke week is er een nieuwe buddy location finder of GPS locatie toezicht op de toepassing voor BlackBerry. Now we are even finding ways to include our location in a microblog such as Twitter. Nu zijn we ook manieren vinden om onze locatie in een microblog als Twitter nemen. Is the next evolution to let people always know where you are? Is de volgende evolutie te laten mensen altijd weten waar je bent?

Catstalking It started with the MySpace and Facebook where you inundated all your friends with what you were doing each and every second. Het begon met de MySpace en Facebook, waar u al uw vrienden overspoeld met wat je aan het doen waren elke seconde. It then progressed to Twitter-like instant notification of what you were doing. Vervolgens vorderde naar Twitter-achtige onmiddellijk melding van wat je aan het doen waren. You could not even wait to get to a PC anymore. Je kon zelfs niet wachten om op een pc meer. Now it seems like companies are trying to mix Twitter with your GPS location to give the whole world even more information about you. Nu lijkt het alsof bedrijven proberen te Twitter mengen met uw GPS-locatie te geven de hele wereld nog meer informatie over jou.

It has gotten to the point where I wouldn't be surprized if a company like Google decided to do a real time people search. Het heeft gekregen tot het punt waar ik niet zou verbazen als een bedrijf als Google besloten om een real-time mensen zoeken doen. Just search for a friend (or anybody's) name and they will show up on your Google Maps display. Gewoon zoeken naar een vriend (of iemand's) de naam en zij zal verschijnen op de Google Maps weer te geven.

Am I the only one starting to get paranoid? Ben ik de enige die beginnen te paranoïde te krijgen? I am a trusting person in general, but way too many people are starting to collect way too much information about me… Hopefully I only have to worry about my cat stalking me… Ik ben een vertrouwde persoon in het algemeen, maar veel te veel mensen beginnen te verzamelen manier te veel informatie over mij ... Hopelijk heb ik alleen zorgen te maken over mijn kat stalking me ...

    I think the coolness factor of these applications, gets the best of us sometimes. Ik denk dat de koelte factor van deze toepassingen, krijgt de beste van ons soms.

    I admit, I install apps on my BB just because I can , then I do an audit , and I delete multipe apps that I haven't used in a month. Ik geef toe, ik apps installeren op mijn BB gewoon omdat ik kan, dan doe ik een audit, en verwijder ik multipe apps die ik niet heb gebruikt in een maand.

    Now , as far as the real time Google people search thing is concernec , I wouldn't put it past them. Nu, voor zover de real-time Google mensen zoeken concernec ding is, zou ik het niet gezegd langs hen heen. Probably in beta testing as we speak. Waarschijnlijk in de beta tests als we spreken.

    Well, Ronen, maybe you have a point, but maybe you miss the point that everyone is volunteering all that information. Nou, Ronen, misschien heb je een punt, maar misschien mis je het punt dat iedereen vrijwilligerswerk al die informatie. I guess people are bored, people are lonely, people want to show off. Ik denk dat mensen zich vervelen, mensen eenzaam, mensen willen pronken. When you can blame no one but the users themselves, maybe you no longer have a point. Wanneer je kunt niemand de schuld, maar de gebruikers zelf, misschien heeft u niet langer een punt.

    I'm only sure you're wrong about the cat stalking you. Ik ben alleen zeker dat je ongelijk hebt over de kat stalking je. Cats don't give a rat's ass. Katten geven geen reet een rat. :-)

    I have long been concerned over who collects what data, with this applications people being able to track my location, even look at my billing and see all the numbers I have called so on and so forth, now while you are right Luciano, people volunteer this information, but how many of the people actually UNDERSTAND what they are doing when they agree to terms and conditions of services, I'm positive many, many people see the t&c page, check the little box that could really be saying they just signed over their house and car and never know it until someone came to collect the car and seize the house…this is the reason why I have no real connection to a great many “social networks” out there these days, I'm sure if you look back far enough into the investors you will find a good many data mining organizations behind their funding ie Facebook… Ik ben lang bezig over wie welke gegevens verzamelt, met deze toepassingen mensen kunnen mijn locatie bijhouden, zelfs kijken naar mijn facturering en zie alle nummers die ik tot nu opgeroepen enzovoort, terwijl je nu gelijk Luciano, mensen vrijwilliger deze informatie, maar hoeveel van de mensen werkelijk begrijpen wat ze doen als ze akkoord gaan met voorwaarden en voorwaarden van de diensten, ik ben positief vele, vele mensen zien de t & c pagina, vinkt u het doosje dat echt zou kunnen zeggen dat ze net ondertekend over hun huis en auto en nooit weten totdat iemand kwam om de auto te verzamelen en de woning in beslag te nemen ... dit is de reden waarom ik heb geen werkelijke band met een groot aantal "sociale netwerken" die er deze dagen, ik ben zeker als u terugkijken ver genoeg in de beleggers vindt u een groot aantal data mining organisaties achter hun financiering dwz Facebook ...

    But then again, maybe I'm the paranoid one…but I assure, my house and car wont be seized because I failed to read some t&c's lmao!! Maar goed, misschien ben ik de paranoïde een ... maar ik verzeker, mijn huis en de auto gewoon in beslag worden genomen, omdat ik niet wat lmao t & c lezen!

    Youi're right, Bla1ze, but I didn't mean that kind of tricky T&C agreements. Youi're rechts, Bla1ze, maar ik wist niet dat soort lastige T & C overeenkomsten. I was referring to Twitter whereby people know they are advertising their current activities, or geolocation apps by means of which people know they are revealing their current location to all and sundry. Ik verwees naar Twitter waarbij mensen weten dat ze reclame voor hun huidige activiteiten, of geolocation apps door middel van die mensen weten dat ze hun huidige locatie, dat alle en diverse. Volunteering all the way. Vrijwilligerswerk all the way.

    There is an app out there for WinMo users called Tricker Tracker, which takes the last 5 GPS coordinates and uploads them to their server. Er is een app die er voor WinMo gebruikers genaamd Tricker Tracker, die de laatste 5 GPS-coördinaten en neemt upload aan hun server. You can then make your “map page” public so others can see them plotted on the map. U kunt vervolgens uw "kaart pagina" publiek, zodat anderen kunnen zien ze uitgezet op de kaart. I could see this being useful if your kid is on a road trip and you want to check on their progress, but overall…yeah, kind of scary. Ik kon zien dat dit is handig als uw kind zich op een weg reis en u wilt controleren op hun vooruitgang, maar over het algemeen ... ja, soort van eng.

    I agree wholeheartedly. Ik ben het van harte. The entire trend is creepy and disturbing to me De hele tendens is griezelig en verontrustend voor mij :-(

    Could it be that you think a little to much of yourself to think the general public (or the evil corporation) wants to know where you are 24/7? Zou het kunnen dat u denkt dat een beetje te veel van jezelf aan het grote publiek (of het kwaad corporatie denken) wil weten waar je bent 24 / 7?

    Who said the general public or the government? Wie zei dat het publiek of de overheid? What about your ex-girl/boyfriend stalker? Hoe zit het met uw ex-girl/boyfriend stalker? Or even worse your ex-husband/wife? Of nog erger je ex-husband/wife?

    Or when will it become acceptable (common practice) for employers to give you GPS tracking devices to monitor your movements? Of wanneer zal het aanvaardbaar (gangbare praktijk) voor werkgevers om je GPS-tracking-apparaten op uw bewegingen te controleren? Some companies already do this. Sommige bedrijven al doen.

    Or will it become acceptable for wireless companies to sell the location of their current subscribers? Of zal het aanvaardbaar voor draadloze bedrijven om de locatie van hun huidige abonnees verkopen?

    I personally don't care but it is enough to make you understand the paranoia… Ik persoonlijk niet schelen, maar het is genoeg om u inzicht in de paranoia ...

    There is currently testing of a Beta Marketing application to track your current location live. Er is momenteel testen van een Beta Marketing applicatie om uw huidige locatie live track. You input all the things you like etc, and you are sent an email of when/where/how much. Je input alle dingen die je wilt etc, en ontvangt u een e-mail wanneer / waar / hoeveel. Stores near by your current location offering you deals on the things you have inputted that you like. Winkels in de buurt door uw huidige locatie biedt u deals over de dingen die je hebt ingevoerd dat u wilt.
    Direct marketing is the most cost effective way of marketing an item especially if you have the demographic of the person you are marketing to. Direct marketing is de meest kostenefficiënte manier van marketing een item vooral als u de demografische van de persoon die u in de handel brengen is. At the end of the day, scary stuff but a one persons detailed information can be a great commodity to cutting edge marketing firms… Aan het eind van de dag, maar een scary stuff personen een gedetailleerde informatie kan een grote grondstof tot cutting edge marketing bedrijven ...

    Okay so maybe I'll provide the stupid answer. Oke dus misschien zal ik bieden de dom antwoord. This seems like fun, no need to paranoid man, Buy a metrocard, hop on the subway and let them have fun on trying to track you down. Dit lijkt leuk, niet nodig om paranoïde mens, Koop een MetroCard, hop op de metro en laat ze plezier proberen om u te sporen.

    All new technologies can be misused and everyone eventually learns to gain benefit from it. Alle nieuwe technologieën kunnen worden misbruikt, en iedereen uiteindelijk leert om ervan te profiteren krijgen. I am sure that 10 years ago the concept of typing your name on your computer and getting back information such as employment history, birthdate, and even where you have lived seemed creepy yet you can easily do that now. Ik weet zeker dat 10 jaar geleden het concept van het typen van je naam op je computer en het verkrijgen van informatie terug zoals werkgelegenheid geschiedenis, geboortedatum, en zelfs waar je woont nog griezelig je gemakkelijk leek dat nu kan doen.
