RIM released a great article recently on how the version of Handheld Firmware will determine which features you have available to you on BlackBerry Unite! The original article can be found as KB15639 on the Technical Solution Center.

The following table outlines the features available with different versions of BlackBerry Device Software:

‡ If the BlackBerry smartphone is activated using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and associated with BlackBerry Unite! software, these features are controlled by the IT policies on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. Changes made to these settings using BlackBerry Unite! software will not affect the BlackBerry smartphone.
