I had the extreme pleasure of reviewing FakeCall. FakeCall is a program in which you can program your phone to “call” you on a specific time and date.

This would be excellent to get you out of the boring sales meetings, that snoozer of a Lit class, or even meeting with your mother-in-law (who just happened to be my unsuspecting victim in this test).

Programming the time, date, “caller” name and “phone number” was very easy to do. Although it did take a minute or 2 to realize that you had to push the menu button to select the Ringtone and Greeting Tone. It also took another minute to be able to choose the Ringtone and Greeting Tone. But I was able to program a ringer which let me distinguish which of my “calls” was FakeCall.

FakeCall rang just like a real phone call and even kept time. The LED light also lights up like a real phone call. There were a small difference between a real call and the FakeCall which wouldn’t be noticeable for the unknowing 3rd party. Which is the call time being in a different place.

I used this when visiting my mother-in-law last week. I programmed it before I got to her house then while I was there, my phone starting ringing (it was my “mom” calling). I was able to use “mom” it for an excuse to escape!

Give it a whirl here for $7.95 until June 30th (otherwise $9.95) at the BerryReview Store and see which unwanted meetings you can get yourself out of!
